Amazon Web Services (AWS) launches new tool App StudioJust describe the app you want to build and AWS will write the code for you, without the need for any professional developers, Amazon says. This tool is designed for IT professionals, data engineers, enterprise architects, and even product managers, allowing them to describe requirements to build complex enterprise applications.

App Studio uses generative AI to shorten the learning curve. Users only need to enter the application name, data source and description, and the system will generate a list of requirements and features. Users can also interact with the AI to express their needs, and finally the application will be tested through the DevOps pipeline.

App Studio will support connecting to existing identity, security, and governance systems, and AWS will handle all related settings on the backend. App Studio uses a variety of models on Amazon Bedrock, including Amazon Titan and Anthropic, depending on the task.

Sriram Devanathan, general manager of AWS App Studio, emphasized that the difference between App Studio and traditional no-code tools is that App Studio has almost no learning curve, so non-professional developers can also create enterprise-level applications.
